- The Government of Assam has launched the Pragyan Bharti Scuty Scheme to encourage and support meritorious students pursuing higher education. Under this initiative, eligible students are awarded scooters for assisting their mobility and educational activities.

To qualify for Pragayan Bharati Scuoty Scheme 2025, students must meet the following criteria–
Female students: Must have secured 60% or more marks in the Higher Secondary (HS) Final Examination conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).
Male students: Must have secured 75% or more marks in the same examination.
These criteria are consistent with the previous year’s requirements and are part of the Dr. Banikanta Kakati Merit Award under the Pragyan Bharati Scheme.
The scheme is intended to encourage academic excellence and support students in continuing their education beyond the 10+2 level. Eligible students will receive a scooty as part of the award. The merit list for the 2025 batch is expected to be released in November 2025, and distribution will commence shortly .
